Rope for Hope

Rope for Hope is an unique and fun fundraising event that benefits City of Hope Cancer Center's pediatric treatment and research programs. It is a fun and exciting program designed for any child in any grade-elementary through high school. Rope for Hope exposes students and teachers to Guinness World Record Holder David Fisher's, a.k.a. The Rope Warrior™, Ropenastics™  Program, which is a combination of rope jumping, rhythmic gymnastics, dance, martial arts and aerobics.

Rope for Hope can be designed in any format you choose. Here are just some of the formats you can use:

Circuit- Set up jump rope stations around the gym and have teams or individual jumpers switch stations every 5 to 10 minutes.
Jump Contests- Students showcase speed, endurance, precision, or creativity in rope tricks.
Jump-a-thon- Teams of jumpers jump rope for the duration of the event alternating turns, or individuals jump rope taking rest breaks when needed.
Trick Sharing- Individuals or teams take turns showing jump rope tricks to entire group and everyone attempts the trick.
Jump Show- Individuals or teams make jump rope up routines to music.
Combination- Combine formats to create a more diverse and exciting jumping activity (i.e. Jump-a-thon and Circuit)

Rope for Hope can be a one day event or a week-long event. It can take place during, before or after school. How to organize it is up to YOU.

Words from the Ropewarrior:

As a professional entertainer, I am frequently asked to donate my time, my name, and my money to various charitable organizations. Because on the surface most charities represent worthwhile causes, it was important for me to find out how the charities were putting their donations to use. I was shocked to learn that some well-know charities are using their funds in a wasteful and misleading manner. Therefore, I decided to pick the best charity and concentrate my efforts on their behalf. That charity is City of Hope.

City of Hope is one of the world's most fiscally responsible organizations, with an impressive 88 cents of every dollar raised going towards research and treatment programs. They have an inspiring history, a strong philosophy, and a staff that is wonderful to work with and most appreciative of all volunteer efforts. In working with City of Hope not only are you raising money for a good cause but City of Hope will make the most of your hard efforts.

My Best Regards,
The Rope Warrior
